Although gyms aren’t set up to bully newcomers, I can relate because it took me 4 months to build the courage to go to my first session. Years down the line, I am a qualified boxing coach and I teach the boxing basics to beginners who were just like me - so how did that happen?
My name is Andrew Hudson and those 4 months were the lowest of my life, I lacked confidence, I was out of shape and on multiple occasions I drove to the gym without ever stepping foot in there. The only thing that allowed me to turn my life around was learning the boxing basics at home, just from building up a basic ability, I felt much more confident to join a gym and it allowed me to improve my life significantly.
After coaching all of these years, it has become apparent to me that the intimidating environment of gyms prevents beginners from getting started. Therefore, I have created this home boxing training guide to give you a strong start.
